Jerusalem Torch Singed by the Holy Fire 🔥 at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, on the site of Christ's Resurrection
The "torch" consists of 33 candles, symbolizing the 33 years of Jesus Christ's earthly life. These candles are tightly bound together, forming one large candle.
Each candle is handcrafted by monks in the Holy Land using fresh wax and infused with the scent of honey, giving it a divine aroma and healing properties.
Green candles enhance prayers for health, recovery from illness, and the blessing of healthy children. They are also used in prayers for assistance in difficult financial situations and finding employment.
Before sending the candles to you, I consecrate them at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on the Stone of Anointing and singe them with the Holy Fire. When lit, they will burn with the same Holy Fire, bringing Divine Light into your home!
Important Notes:
✗ While it is not forbidden to separate the candles, the clergy of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre recommend keeping them as a bundle, as it symbolizes the 33 years of the Savior's earthly life.
✗ Jerusalem candles should not be lit on days of mourning, Christmas, or Good Friday during Holy Week.
✗ Do not blow out Jerusalem candles. Extinguish them by covering them with a cap or using your fingers to preserve the holiness and miraculous properties of the Holy Fire.
Jerusalem candles are a humble gift from the Holy Land, carrying a fragment of the Holy Fire.
