Icon of the Lord "Almighty"

The image of Christ the Almighty is one of the most revered in the Orthodox tradition. The icon depicts the Lord with an open Gospel in his left hand and a blessing gesture with his right, symbolizing His love, justice and spiritual guidance.

People pray before this icon:

• About blessing and help in all good deeds
• On wisdom in making important decisions
• About protection from evil, spiritual strengthening and consolation
• On the forgiveness of sins and the salvation of the soul

The icon was consecrated on the Stone of Anointing in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
